💡 The more scenes you add, the narrower the lens width each scene gets. If the scenes are not set far enough apart in color and composition at the design proof stage, two images blur together at in-between angles. The four business days were counted from a finalized proof, so if proof revisions drag on, the same four days get tight.
Event dates cannot move, yet merch items are the last thing decided. Another Level came to us for cards to hand out at a Gwacheon National Science Museum event with little time left.
The event is four days away. Is a lenticular card still possible?
The standard lead time for lenticular cards is 5 to 8 days after the proof is finalized. This job had less than that.
So we worked out the full schedule with the client contact right when the inquiry came in. How many days each stage needed and how the cards would ship were all settled on the spot.
We did not keep the four days by cutting steps. Every message got a reply the same day, and the client did not hold back their approvals either.

A lenticular card normally layers two images on one card so they alternate with the viewing angle. This card was about solar observation, with three images at different wavelengths. Using only two would have cut the explanation short, so we added a third.
Honestly, at that point we were not certain it would come out well. Interlacing two scenes is routine; interlacing three is a different job. Whether each scene separates cleanly at each angle can only be confirmed on the physical card.

When time is tight, do you skip the sample?
When the schedule is extremely tight, some jobs do go into main production without a sample. But we do not recommend it ourselves. If something that looked fine on screen is off on the physical piece, there is no time to undo it.
This time we checked a sample before proceeding. There is no way to judge a three-scene transition on screen, so we had to see the real thing. What we cut instead was the waiting time around the check. We linked the two steps so both sides reviewed the sample the moment it came out and main production started right away.

Lenticular cards are made in units of 10, so you can order exactly the quantity you sized for your event.
A smaller quantity does not mean fewer steps. Three scenes are printed layered onto the lens PET, the explanatory text is printed on art paper for the back, then the two sheets are bonded, coated, and cut before a single card is complete.
